Definition of Highness

The term "Highness" is a form of politeness and honorific title used in various cultures to address members of royal families, aristocrats, and other high-ranking officials. The origin of the word "Highness" can be traced back to the Middle Ages in Europe, where titles such as "Most High," "Great Highness," and "Highness" were commonly used to distinguish aristocrats and other prominent figures from the common people. The word "Highness" literally means "hightiness" or "high moral character" and is associated with supremacy or elevated social status.
