Introduce
This game is very simple: you just have to look at the picture and then spell the word. You can click the letters on the screen or use the keyboard to type. The keyboard seems to be a lot faster than clicking with the mouse. So if you are looking to get a high score, then you should use keys.
Before you begin, you must choose a set of assets to use. There are 30 different sets available for this game and each set has about 25 items to spell. You have to spell each item one at a time, and there is also an audio clip for each image that will play just like the one shown for the first time.
You can add your own images and audio tracks. To do this, click the add button. while in the content selection screen. You can select images from your desktop and they are added and displayed on the screen. The filename of the image you add becomes the target word that you must spell. So if you add an image called beach holiday, then the target to spell for that image would be beach holiday. Although, you can change the target words by clicking in the text box directly below the image. Note that for this game it is not possible to add numbers or special characters - these will be automatically removed from the teh content screen. This is because the keyboard shown on the screen contains only letters.
There is also a timer that runs down when you are spelling words. If the timer runs out before the game is completed, then you lose and the game is over. Once you have spelled all the items in the content set, the game is also over and the score screen is displayed. The countdown timer gets faster as you progress through the sets. This way the game will become more difficult. If you hit the wrong letter, then you don't lose, you can try another letter until you get it right. This way, there's a bit of trial and error in learning to spell words you don't know.
The idea for this game is that by spelling repeated words very quickly you can become a better speller and also become more familiar with the vocabulary items and the letters used. to form them.
